How selling to SafeSells works

Get your price online, we come to you within 48 hours, and you leave with cash. Here’s exactly what happens.

    Step 1: Get your price

    Pick your device and answer a few questions: storage, how it looks, and whether everything works. Your price shows right away, online, in under a minute.

    We don’t ask for your name, number or email until you decide to book. Your price is held for 7 days.

    Not sure about an answer? Choose Not sure. We’ll check it together, and your price shows the lowest it could be.

    Step 2: We come to you

    Pick a busy public spot near you, anywhere in the GTA and surrounding areas, and a time in the next 48 hours. We travel to you. Then add your first name and a mobile number or email. Your confirmation has the spot, the time, who you’ll meet, and a link to change or cancel.

    Before you come

    • Back up your device.
    • Sign out of your Apple Account, or remove your Google and Samsung accounts, at home before you leave. Away from home, newer phones can make you wait an hour.
    • Charge it to at least half.
    • Don’t erase it yet. You’ll do that at the meetup, after the check. Already erased? That’s fine.
    Prepare your device

    • Your device
    • Photo ID
    • The charger if you have it (optional; for a MacBook, bring it if you said you would)
    • The box, only if it’s sealed
    • For an Apple Watch, the iPhone it’s paired with

    At the meetup

    We text you when we’re there. You unlock your device and we check it together, in about 5 minutes. It stays in your hands unless you choose to pass it over. We never open your photos, messages or apps.

    If something’s different

    If your device matches what you told us, your price stands. If it doesn’t, we show you exactly what we found and the new price from the same price list, before anything is agreed. Take the new price or walk away at no cost.

    Step 3: Get paid in cash

    After the check, you erase your device while we watch, until the setup screen appears. Then we pay you in cash, on the spot.

    Count it in front of us, and take your time. We wait while you do.

    Then hand it over. You’ll get a receipt by text or email.
